This gem makes a bold statement in the garden with 6-foot-deep purple petioles (stalks) leading to 3-foot-long giant green leaves with a slight hazy purple cast. The 1-foot tall yellow flowers have a wonderful papaya-like fragrance. Although it sends out wild-looking runners, it has been very slow to spread.
